Hi Nikki

I own a copy of the P90x myself. Are you doing the "fat shredder" - see page 2 of the Nutritional Plan book? 50%protein, 30% carbs, 20% fats. It looks like you're falling under "level 1" for the nutritional level (same as me). Like most folk, we're all pretty busy, so I sometimes supplement my protein portions for a protein shake. I tend for go for protein powder/shakes that have less nasty artificial sweeteners etc.

Something like... Prograde Protein Powder: http://bit.ly/9Kzgdi

Sorry for the delay on the response... we're doing renovations on our home at the moment and things are crazy around here.

Hi, I just started a new program: P90X. The nutritional calculations say I should be eating 2356 calories per day. First of all, I would like you to double check this amount. The calculations according to the book is: 1. Calculate my RMR my weight: 147 x 10= RMR in calories 1470. 2. Calculate my daily activity burn 1470(RMR)x 20%= 294 (daily activity burn. 3. Add the cal req. for my exercising needs (600/day for P90x program) 1470(RMR)+294(daily activities burn)+ 600=2364(Energy Amount ie Calories I need) I would really like to do the "lean" program which portions 50%protein, 40%carbs, 20% fats. Any ideas on how to consume that much protein? Without vomiting?
I am thinking that it would be good to supplement 1-2 protein portions with a protein shake as my work schedule does not give me enough time to eat the portions I need to allow me to spread out the portions in a managable way. What protein shakes do you reccomend? I am looking for something which 1 carb at the most and 1 sugar per 20-30 grams of protein. Thanks for your help!!
