Over this past month, while writing, creating and designing the Entrepreneurial Women and Fitness Workshop: “The Mindset Behind Getting Into Great Shape – It’s Not About Being Perfect”, which launches tomorrow…
I’ve been going over the mindset homework and assignments that I create for my one to one clients. And how these lessons came about from my own first hand experiences.
And one of the biggest issues that I see people struggle with, and I’ve been guilty of it myself in the past, and that’s allowing the past to predict your future. When you keep making the same fitness mistakes over and over again, and don’t move forward. And you often do it without even realizing it.
You feel like you’re drowning in things going wrong with your fitness efforts. You think that it’s impossible to get into great shape because “this, this and this” or “such and such” happened last time… And it happens every time.
I want you to ask yourself this:
Why does this happen?
Why do you think this happens?
What do you say to yourself when this happens?
Be honest about what you say to yourself and about why these things happen.
Is there anything you can learn from it? What could you do differently next time?
Are you allowing yourself to move forward? Or do you keep going back to old habits, becoming overwhelmed and then you’re stuck back where you were?
It’s frustrating when deep down you know that there’s something bigger meant for you. You know that you can do it, but you just need to figure out how.
You want a fulfilling life, you want to be confident, love your body, reduce body fat, feel like you can truly rock whatever outfit you want. You want to be able to take on big challenges rather than make excuses so you don’t have to do them.
It hurts when you look at others successfully achieving the body of their dreams, and wondering… “what do they know, that I don’t?”.
I’m not saying “do your head in trying to fix yourself”… far from it. I’m saying just have a think about why you do things, how you do things, and look for the lessons that you can learn from your past, so that you can totally rock your future efforts in fitness and in life.
Because you deserve all the great things in life you want to achieve just as much as the successful person who’s doing those things already.
If you want to share some of your thoughts on this then please do so below or on my facebook page. I’d love to hear from you.
Lots of hugs and I’ll talk to you tomorrow…
