Smith Machine Push Up
Stand out from the bar, have your arms outstretched and hands holding onto the bar using a wide overhand grip.
Now lower your chest towards the bar, bending your elbows outwards and keeping your midsection firm.
Then push your chest and upper body away from the bar so that you’re at starting position and repeat.
To make this movement more difficult, as you become more accustomed to this exercise, just lower the bar.
Note: You don’t need to have smith machine for this exercise. You can use a park bench, your kitchen counter. Just make sure it’s extremely stable.
- Also when using the smith machine make sure the bar is latched securely onto the catch. And the safety latch is also in place. It’s vital that you have both secured.
