I’m continually in awe of women. The amazing things we do, the hardships we overcome, and our tremendous strength – that we usually don’t even realise we have until we’ve been through whatever it is we went through.
Yet in saying that we lose confidence in ourselves so quickly… we bag the crap out of ourselves, tell ourselves lies, say the most revolting things to ourselves (things that if you heard someone say it to someone else you’d be outraged)..
We give up on our dreams so quickly and often put our needs on the back-burner before others, knowing full well the detriment that it will cause us.
Why do we do this to ourselves?
Why do you do this to yourself?
Why do you get excited about things, go flat out inspired, motivated sprinting towards your dreams, your fat loss goals, your business… whatever it is…
And then turn around and stomp on it, like it means nothing, like you don’t deserve it.
I’m not saying we should be naive and expect everything to fall in our laps and be all peaches and cream.
Truth is, YOU have to make the awesome things you want happen yourself.
You have to work at them. Put the time and passion into whatever it is you want.
You have to meet the Universe / God / whatever your preference, halfway.
Here’s what I mean by that…
If you’re wanting to achieve a lean defined body… You say you want it, you really want it… but you keep putting negative thoughts and energy out there about it.
After the excitement and euphoria has died down after the first initial days of starting you’re secretly looking for an excuse, a reason to throw in the towel… While half telling yourself you’re grasping for hope for something to change and for those results to take place.
You find every excuse under the sun why it won’t work. Why it can’t work.
You continually quit, go up and down on an emotional roller-coaster…
Even when you workout, consume supportive nutrition that makes you feel terrific, you complain that you’re not getting the results fast enough, and create unnecessary drama.
You tell yourself you’re manifesting awesome fat loss results… You go over positive affirmations… Yet you don’t believe it.
You won’t even give yourself the credit of celebrating the good stuff, on those days when you truly kicked ass!
How do I know this?
Because I’ve done it myself. I’ve been there, I know exactly what that feels like. EVERYONE HAS in some form!
I’ve allowed awful soul shattering experiences, shitty things people have said to me, self doubt, fears and the gut-wrenching feeling of failure take hold of me and stop me in my tracks.
Yes, I’ve allowed them in the past to stop me from moving forward, from reaching the goals that I desperately wanted, knew I could achieve them, but talked myself out of.
But I was ABLE TO MOVE FORWARD, WORK THROUGH IT AND BEYOND IT!
If you want to transform your body, your fat loss, your life – you have to take action.
And it needs to be consistent action.
It’s doesn’t have to be perfect every time.
You don’t have to be perfect all the time.
Life happens…
Yes, there’s going to be situations, days that pull the carpet from under you.
Yes, you’re going to experience highs and lows…
But that doesn’t mean give up, throw the towel in and toss your dreams away.
You just keep taking consistent action, big or small, just keep at it.
Stop making your dreams your enemy.
Stop fighting against the stuff you need to do to make those dreams happen.
Stop telling yourself “its not fair” when it’s time to exercise. Or do whatever it is that needs to be done.
If your fat loss dreams are important to you then training and eating to support that is part of the dream.
This isn’t “I dream of Jeanie”. You can’t have the dream by folding your arms, nodding your head or clicking your fingers.
You’re not going to just wake up one morning and magically feel like you’re “motivation on turbo” without putting in the effort to change some things that you’re doing.
Get over it.
Let it go.
Choose to NOT fight it.
Choose to NOT make things way harder than they have to be.
Give yourself the BIG BREAK AND OPPORTUNITY you need to make it happen. That’s your gift to yourself.
Choose to NOT stand in your own way.
Choose to make your fat loss results, your life, your transformation be something amazing.
Do it for you.
Do it because you don’t want to be sitting here 1 year, 2 years, 5 years from now kicking yourself that you didn’t take action, that you didn’t just stick with it that bit longer, that you didn’t give it the effort you know you should’ve.
Do it for you… Because you deserve it.
Big hugs and luv
