Week 1 is done and dusted and I’m into Week 2 of my “get back into shape” experiment.
I’m pretty happy with the results so far.
It’s a little hard to see in the photos as the program has really only just started, BUT I’ve already gone down in measurements and my clothes are getting looser. Had to do my shorts up a little tighter. 🙂
2.5 cm’s off my chest
2 cm’s off my waist
3.5 cm’s off my lower abs
½ cm off each thigh
That’s a pretty big deal for the small amount of time I’ve been doing the program for and that I had a few issues with my shoulder, which affected my training. Stupid shoulder! 🙂
I’m going to be taking my next lot of photos in 2 weeks time. Along with my measurements and skin folds every 2 weeks as well.
I have to admit, it’s been a little weird getting back into training again.
I’m really enjoying it and it’s awesome to know my health is getting back on track again.
It feels pretty weird purposely getting out of shape…
But super exciting getting back into shape, because I know how awesome the results will be.
I followed the Ultimate YOU Dream Body Week 1 – Metabolism Boosting Nutrition.
Which focuses on tapping into fat stores , encouraging the body to use fat as fuel for energy.
And I’m really impressed with it, if I do say so myself. 🙂
Can’t wait to see where I’ll be in 3-4 weeks time! Woohoo!
I gave myself a bit of a re-feed night (treat) the other night (which is part of the program)… Eg..Eat whatever I want for that meal, and I actually felt really sick from it the next day.
So in just 1 week of getting the crap out of my system, the side effects of consuming something “not so healthy” made me feel “ugh”… Which is a good thing.
Food prep has been pretty easy to follow as well, as I made the nutrition simple to follow. 🙂
I followed the Ultimate YOU Dream Body Week 1 Workout.
Which is very straight forward and VERY effective, and takes into consideration that someone starting this program probably hasn’t trained in a while or is getting back on track with their training, wanting to take things up a notch.
It’s challenging without being “work your tail off” exhausting. If that makes sense. And I designed it like that for a reason.
One of the biggest mistakes people make is training like a maniac, when they haven’t trained in a while, and then feeling like they’ve been hit by a truck. Super sore, can’t move, feel like they want to throw up…
If you’re not used to exercising, it doesn’t exactly inspire you to come back and train the next day or in the following days after that.

Going through this whole “Get out of shape / Get Back Into Shape” experiment has been an fantastic lesson for me.
I’m very much in touch with my clients, how they feel, the voices in their head, their insecurities, the things that sabotage and get in the way of them achieving amazing results.
It’s because of that I’m able to speak with them on the same level (because of what I’ve been through in the past).
And doing this experiment has heightened that even further.
I feel very much in sync with my clients and their struggles.
Because I know how to turn things around and transform my body very effectively… It’s really cool being able to share that with them.
We’re doing the Ultimate YOU Dream Body Program step-by-step together.
Which is great because, as you know, I do take a personal approach to working with my clients. (That’s why you’ll here me refer to the “Ultimate YOU family” or the “Virtual Fitness Trainer” family…)
So this is super exciting for all of us!
PLUS it’s not very often that my clients get to train along with me, performing the same eating plan, eating what I eat and train the way I train…
