How I trained today, our new house and gym and goals for the next year

December 30, 2015 By Mandy Gibbons

I can’t believe how fast this year has gone. What a roller-coaster it’s been. Moving from the City to the country (my home town), to be closer to my parents. It’s been my hubby’s dream to move here. What a massive lifestyle change this has been.

I have to say living on acreage and hearing the birds, the animals on the properties surrounding us, the peace and quiet, the wind, experiencing clean air – rather than the roar of traffic – has been amazing. It was hard work getting here, but so worth it.

Here’s some photos of the sunrise and sunset at our new home…

I have two rooms here for my gym. One for the more hard core gym equipment and another for me to perform plyo and leg exercises in. More floor space.

After a busy Christmas with family this year, squeezing in short workouts where I could, it’s nice to get back into the swing of my usual training and nutrition again.

So what did I train today?

Legs and Glutes! Woohoo! Here’s how my workout played out…

Warm up, then glute activation exercises
Then the following (incorporating super sets and tri-sets and various reps)
Smith Machine Split Squats
Squats with leg raise
Smith Machine Squats
Stiff legged deadlifts – varying the stance
Plyo Sumo Squats
Lying leg side raises (leg bent) – focusing on glutes and outer thigh
Glute Bridges – legs on bench to hit the hammies
My special booty booster exercise that I love doing.
Cool down and then stretches

I have so many goals that I’ll be completing over this year, I can’t wait to share them with you in the next blog post… And how I go about setting them.

If you haven’t written down your goals, being super specific about them, and what you want to achieve with your training, nutrition, fat loss, body in 2016. Then get straight to it.

By writing them down, you’re putting it out there! Don’t be afraid to share your goals either. Often we keep goals “quiet” so it doesn’t matter if we don’t hit them, or we’re afraid of what people might think of our goals, will they laugh at them, will they think we’re nuts.

It’s your life, your goals. If you need help with setting some goals, then feel free to get some ideas from mine in the next blog post or contact me directly here:

Massive hugs, thanks for your support this year! You are awesome!

Happy New Year

Luv you to bits, have an amazing New Years!

Lots and lots of hugs
Mandy xoxo
