This may sound kinda deep and meaningful, but don’t worry you’ll understand what I mean in a moment.
Do you ever feel like something is holding you back from your fat loss goals, from your aspirations to increase your lean muscle, to exercise more regularly, to eat the nutritious foods that you know will help you live a healthier lifestyle?
Of course you have all the obvious obstacles; you’re busy with work, family and commitments.
But you know, just as well as I do, that if you truly want something bad enough you’ll make it happen, right?
So why do you think that your goals to get into great shape don’t count? Why are they frequently put last and forgotten about completely for months at a time – sometimes longer?
Or what about, even when you’re in great shape, and you want to take it that bit further, you “worry” yourself sick with what that will entail, and you put it on the back burner.
Self-doubts and damaging thoughts run through our heads. And they can become our comfort zone. Sounds weird right?
Putting yourself last, even though it can make you feel miserable, exhausted and undervalued… When you become accustomed to it, it can easily become somewhere that you’re not sure you want to get out of.
It feels safe there. Less risks. Less putting yourself out there, compared to what your goals might involve. It takes care of the “I’m not good enough” fear (because you don’t have to deal with it) that runs through your head when challenges arise.
When it comes to transforming your body you figure, “it’s too hard”, “I don’t really need to do this”, “I’ll do it later”, “it probably won’t work anyway”, “I should just be thankful for what I do have and not want anything more for myself”. Sound familiar?
So “WHY” do you treat yourself like you’re unworthy of allowing yourself to be happy and doing things like getting into great shape and feeling better about yourself?
Everyone goes through these feelings and thoughts but it’s what you do about them that makes the difference.
So here’s something I want you to do asap…
a. Ask yourself these questions that I’ve put to you above. Go over each one and write down your answers. Be absolutely honest with yourself.
b. Then find via google or facebook (some examples below) at least 5 short verses, quotes, that inspire you to take action and let go of the things in your past or present that get in your way.
Now go through “a’s” list and cross them out. Take a deep breath and let them go.
Then read those inspiring quotes from “b” out loud to yourself.
Keep those quotes with you, on your phone, by your bed, and read them to yourself in the morning when you get up, at night before you go to bed. When you’re feeling insecure, down, frustrated, like you’re not worthy of your goals – read them.
You soooooooo deserve the life you really want…
