When it comes to “food”, I don’t believe in making myself miserable, or my clients being miserable either for that matter, with their eating plans.
I’m quite easy to please when it comes to food, as I love eating / consuming food that’s super nutritious.
However I get bored, and like you, I don’t want to always eat the same stuff over and over every day and night.
I know, from what you’ve told me, that you’re under the pump when it comes meal preparation.
I want to share with you my meal prep. Doing this makes it so much faster to make your meals.
As you can see I have my veggies all chopped and read to go.
I do the same with fruit as well.
Then all I need to do, with what ever meal I choose to make, is add some extra protein to it.
I have times of the year where I prefer certain veggies and fruit over other times. So the veggies and fruit change according to how I feel and my training goals.
I want you to ask yourself this:
How many times have you gone to make a meal – or something healthy and quick to eat – and there’s nothing organized and you’ve gone: “I’ll just eat some junk instead, cause it’s fast and I’m hungryyyyyyyyy now!”
Sure there’s more issues surrounding nutrition in regards to what to eat, and why you eat certain things etc… (things I address with my one to one personal coaching clients).
But you need to remember that taking small steps, like food prep, don’t take much time to do when you do it all in one hit. And it’s way less washing up! YAY!!!! 🙂
When you’re exhausted after running around at work, with the kids, family, community and social commitments… knowing that you’ve got food chopped and prepared in the fridge, it’s such a relief. It helps reduce the time strapped frantic panic that often kicks in at meals times (when you know you should be eating better than you currently are).
